Dr. VanScoy has worked tirelessly with the club since it was restarted to make the club one of the most active and influential clubs at the University. While not working with the club see works on a variety of cutting edge research projects as well as mentoring many senior design groups.

Dr. VanScoy received her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University in Mathematics and then later got her Ph.D from the University of Virginia in Computer Science. She is an active member in both the Association for Computing Machinery and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Her research interests are centered around information dissemination, virtual environment and information assurance. Dr. VanScoy also teaches many graduate and undergraduate level classes in the areas of languages and parallel computing.
